Right Way Auto Repair is a certified Motor Vehicle Inspection Station. This means that our operators use MTO regulated inspection criteria to determine if your vehicle meets the standards to pass inspection.

A Safety Standards Certificate confirms that your vehicle meets the minimum safety standards on the date the certificate was issued. However, the certificate is not a warranty or guarantee of the vehicle's condition, or that the vehicle will stay fit for any certain period.

When you need an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate

  1. Registering a rebuilt vehicle
  2. Transferring a used vehicle to a new owner
  3. Registering a vehicle in Ontario, which has been bought in or has come from another province, territory, or country
  4. Changing the status of a vehicle from unfit to fit

When a mechanic tells you that your car has failed the safety standards, please remember that it is not our responsibility to certify the vehicle, but to keep unsafe vehicles off the road as they are a hazard. We will provide you with a full digital report complete with measurements, photographs, and comments from the certified technician to ensure that you understand the condition of your vehicle at the time of the inspection. The good news is we can fix all safety items and make sure that your vehicle meets all of the requirements of safety standards.

If your vehicle needs a Safety Inspection or has failed one, contact us online or call us at (905) 381-9285 to schedule an appointment. Our qualified technicians will perform an unbiased safety inspection and repairs so your vehicle can be driven safely after you take ownership.
